Queensland Treasury Gambling Community Benefit Fund *currently open

  • Allocates one-off grants up to $30,000
  • Schools are ineligible, however P&C Associations are eligible
  • Project must have the primary purpose of providing services or activities to benefit the community
  • There are four funding rounds per year, visit the website for further information

National Solar Schools Program

  • Offers grants of up to $50,000 to install solar and other renewable power systems, solar hot water systems, rainwater tanks and a range of energy efficiency measures
  • Schools may apply at any time, until 2015

Bunnings Warehouse

  • Bunnings May offer contributions, donations or fund raising support, preference is given to schools
  • Register online for fundraising opportunities or letter of request on school letterhead submitted to Bunnings Activities Officer

Stephanie Alexanders' Kitchen Garden Foundation *currently open

  • Grants of up to $60,000 per school for developing a productive vegetable garden and the construction of a home-style kitchen
  • There are two funding rounds per year, visit the website for further information.

Coles Junior Landcare School Garden Grant *currently open

  • Schools and community youth groups can use these funds (up to $1,000) for projects like creating native gardens or
  • Indigenous bushfood gardens, planting native flora and encouraging native animals to return to the area.
  • Next funding round closing dates for 2009 are 7th August and 23rd October

Yates Junior Landcare School Environmental Management Planning (SEMP) Grant *currently open

  • Yates SEMP grants are up to $1,100 and provide funding for schools to undertake environmental sustainability activities identified in their School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP).
  • Funds can be used to help schools undertake a SEMP or to undertake on ground works identified as a result of having already undertaken a SEMP.
  • Next funding round closing dates for 2009 are 7th August and 23rd October
