About Us

What is the purpose of the Moreton Bay Regional Community Gardens Network?

The purpose of the network is to provide support for people living within the Moreton Bay Regional Local Government area to engage in organic gardening for food production in their school or community to benefit the region and health of individuals, families and groups.

The network aims to connect gardeners and the greater community to good quality, fresh, affordable, fruits and vegetables through community and school gardens, while also building community and learning together how to live more sustainably and in a way that promotes the attainment of health and wellbeing.

  • Increased numbers of people participating in community and school gardens
  • An increase in the number of urban food production locations and opportunities
